Event Managers, Field Managers & Concessions Managers Needed

Looking for something to do?  Need a little extra money in the pocket?  Do you enjoy baseball?  Do you want to be part of something bigger?  Are you working to be a good organizer and leader; looking for experience delivering high quality and highly visible events to the greater Green Bay community?

The Dodgers are looking for paid summer intern help 22 days this summer.  The Dodgers will be playing competitive baseball at Joannes Stadium and needs your help to provide an outstanding fan experience.  Get involved early and get some experience developing the plans required to make each game the best yet!

Event Managers – Manage the fan experience.  Open the gate, coordinate and coach the volunteer staff to the right position.  Direct and help volunteers to get the beer and food concessions prepared and open on time.  Direct the closing of each function so that the resources are prepared for the next game. Take responsibility for all cash drawers and receipts from the Dodgers Treasurer or designate.  Perform the initial count and compare to sale tally’s.  Ensure that there is a licensed server supervising beer concessions at all times beer is offered.  Coordinate game day promotions with Dodgers staff, promotion sponsor, sponsor representatives and the announcer.  Two managers are required for each game however promotional nights may require additional managers.  The Dodgers will pay for the City of Green Bay’s licensing fee for the successful applicants server license.  All managers must have taken or take a Wisconsin approved responsible servers class.  More information is available here.

Game Managers – Open and prepare the field and facilities for the game.  Get the scoreboard, audio and video systems online and operating.  Run or provide support to the GameChanger operator during the game.  Coordinate with the event managers to provide water and other game necessities to the players.  Close the field and facilities after game completion.  Two managers are required for each game.  One manager is invited to travel with the team to attend away exhibition games as GameChanger operator and generally to assist the General Manager and Coaches. Concession Managers – Open and Close the Food Concession Stand for other Joannes user groups, including the Shockers, Blue Jays and Babe Ruth.  Open and Close the Food and Beer Concession Stand for the Green Bay Storm.  Direct and help volunteers to get the food concessions prepared and open on time.  Direct the closing of food concessions so that the resources are prepared for the next game.
