Though baseball season is coming a close professionally, the De Pere Dodgers are still receiving honors after their first 20-win season.
Three Dodger players were voted to first-team All-WSL honors.
First baseman Sam Kohnle (Kewaunee, WI-Winona State) was the leading vote-getter for De Pere, a unanimous selection, while hitting .505 in 28 league games. Kohnle will return to the Dodgers next summer, his fourth year with the team.
Outfielder Noah Robinson (De Pere, WI-Milwaukee Tech) was the top-voted outfielder thanks to a superb .328 batting average in 28 league games.
Finally, shortstop Hunter Staniske (De Pere, WI-UW-Oshkosh) was a double winner, nodding the league’s Rookie of the Year award, while also being a first-team All-League honoree. Staniske hit three home runs to go with his superb .447 BA and an impressive fielding job all year long.
All three players plan to return to the Dodgers in 2019.
